It is my hope that my paintings speak for
themselves.
For me less is more. My aim is to invite the viewer to notice and interpret the nuances in the girls' interactions and poise based on what they
see and feel.
Once the painting leaves my studio I prefer that as people connect with the
work they adopt their own view of what the work means to them.
I love the idea of the work re-inventing itself once it's out in the world.
My inspiration comes from my
surroundings, my experience and observations of the female poise.
My Abstract work:-
I should mention my abstracts, they are an expression of how I feel in the moment I paint them, they are pure indulgence.
Sometimes moody sometimes just a celebration of the color I am feeling at the time.
On a personal note:-
Thank you to everybody who has bought or expressed an appreciation for my work. I realize my work doesn't please everybody but there would be
something wrong with it if it did. My dream is to paint and present my work to you as long as I can; My objective is to
continue to explore and to
always improve; a very wise artist and teacher once told me that the value of the painting you are working on at the moment is measured by what it
has to offer the next painting you do. This would mean I could go on forever... and there is nothing in the world that I would rather be
doing.
